UPS Canada Suspends Small Package Service Guarantee

We have received notice from UPS Canada that, due to the Covid-19 crisis, they are temporarily suspending their Small Package Service Guarantee for all shipments to any destination, at all service levels.

What does this mean? 

Because many locations are temporarily closed or have restricted access during lockdowns, UPS may not be able to complete their deliveries to those closed locations.

They recommend the following:

“Prior to shipping, please check to see if your recipient’s location is open, since business hours may have changed due to local restrictions. If the location is closed, we will hold shipment and attempt to complete the delivery at a later date, if the receiving location has indicated to UPS that it will re-open within 9 days. However, if the location is closed indefinitely, UPS will return the package to the sender.”

Kyäni will continue to ship orders as they are received. In order to prevent unnecessary delays, we ask that, when placing orders, you verify that the address will be accessible for UPS deliveries.   

While at the moment, this notification applies to UPS Canada only, as the Covid-19 crisis continues, additional delivery delays may occur. Kyäni will continue our commitment to doing everything possible to ensure that you and your Customers will receive your shipments in a timely manner.
