Show Us Your Caring Hands

Each year in June, Kyäni Partners and employees find a critical need in their local community, and dedicate one day—Caring Hands Day—to do something to serve. This year, Caring Hands Day is Saturday, June 20. During this week, we invite you and your team to find a need—however big or small—and make a positive difference in your local community.

To help you show your caring hands, we invite all Business Partners to fill out the Caring Hands Service Projects Form so you can share with each other what you’re planning for 2020! In the meantime, get inspired with these examples of past projects from Business Partners and Corporate:

Corporate

In 2019, Kyäni Corporate spent their Caring Hands Day with Habitat for Humanity working on a home for a single mom and her 1-year-old daughter. Projects included framing the garage and front window, building a custom trellis, installing a garage door opener, beautifying the yard, and painting.

USA

Volunteers in Utah participated in a green house project, and in Northern California they helped out at a local homeless shelter.

Volunteers in Texas served the local American Cancer Society Hope Lodge—a facility where distant cancer patients who are receiving treatments can stay free of charge. They helped clean the facilities and make it feel like home.

Volunteers made bags of soup mix for a food pantry, or worked with Under the Bridge in Tulsa, Oklahoma helping homeless people receive meals, essentials, hygiene products, and more

Malaysia

During the Malaysia/Singapore National Convention they held a Caring Hands Dinner. The special guests included Kyäni Founders Jim & LeAnn Hansen, as well as Kyäni Vice President of Asia Paul Haacke. A donation amounting to MYR5,000 during the Caring Hands Dinner went to Siloam House, a residential home for people with special needs and intellectual disabilities. The people who live in Siloam Home are teenagers and adults without a home because they have been neglected and rejected by their family, orphans, those with aging parents who can no longer take care of them, and those with a single parent who cannot take care of their special needs.

Hungary

The staff of the Budapest, Hungary Kyäni office visited a local children's care home. To help transform the institute's building to a better and happier place, Kyäni corporate staff teamed up for a day-long wall painting.

Germany

In Germany, corporate staff members went to hand out Potato Pak meals to people who cannot afford proper nutrition, through the organization “Speisekammer” (German for “larder”). Speisekammer maintains a facility where volunteers hand out food every Friday to those in need.

These are just a few of the service events planned and coordinated by local offices and by Partners just like you. There are plenty of opportunities to serve in your community. Now is the time to start planning your Caring Hands Day. Reach out to your local officials, or non-profit organizations, and find a need in your community. We can’t wait to see how you make a positive difference this year!
