Last week we said farewell to two great men who were not only pillars of the community, but also beloved by Kyäni Business Partners and employees everywhere. Kirk and Jim Hansen were known throughout the world as men who were passionate about helping others and touching lives wherever they went.
Kirk and Jim were born into a family known for hard work and business acumen, as well as caring for people in need. Many of our Partners are familiar with the story of how they built and expanded the family’s oil business, harnessing their entrepreneurial spirit to expand into other successful ventures that had a significant impact on their home community of Idaho Falls.
But everything changed when their families, along with Carl and Linda Taylor, learned about the incredible properties of the Wild Alaskan Blueberry, which had the potential to enhance the health of millions throughout the world. Together these families created Kyäni—not just as a financial venture, but as a means to impact far more lives than they could otherwise.
Kirk and Jim were passionate about bringing hope to others, and that hope took shape in several forms. They continued to search for the best nature-based products, expanding Kyäni’s product line to encompass more areas of wellness and help a greater number of people. They also worked tirelessly to develop a truly unique compensation plan that puts more money back in the pockets of Partners than any other network marketing company.
They didn’t create Kyäni to get rich, but to bless others through physical and financial health. As Kirk said, “Success starts with helping others.” Kirk and Jim loved the opportunity to meet Partners across the globe, hear the success stories of thousands of people in dozens of countries, and they never took for granted these precious chances to interact with all the individuals whose lives Kyäni has touched.
As Kyäni rapidly grew, the Founders recognised an even greater potential to help those in need. With the guidance and insight of their remarkable wives, Kirk, Jim, and Carl founded Kyäni Caring Hands. For nearly a decade they have dedicated a significant portion of their time, energy, and financial resources to responding to disasters and supporting poverty-stricken communities throughout the world, with a special focus on improving children’s nutrition and
education. Partners have enthusiastically embraced this challenge through donations, the Potato Pak program, and international trips to perform service in small communities where the need is great.
Kirk and Jim knew that Kyäni and the Caring Hands program needed a strong, permanent foundation upon which this legacy could continue growing even after they passed from this life. And although they are no longer with us, Business Partners can feel the peace of knowing there is a strong leadership team in place to continue the work to which Kirk and Jim dedicated their lives.
With the steady, ongoing guidance of Carl Taylor and Kyäni’s new President Travis Garza, the Kyäni executive team and Business Partner leaders are poised to move forward confidently, knowing that Kirk and Jim can be proud of what Kyäni is still accomplishing as together we bring Hope—the promise of a better life—through wellness and opportunity. In his closing address at the last International Convention, Kirk said, “We have done amazing things so far. But the best part about Kyäni is our future. The best part is how many lives we’re going to impact.”
Let’s continue to honor the memory of these great men by taking the next step in the work that has meant so much to them as we share Kyäni’s message throughout the world.
