Last week a small group of Business Partners traveled to a remote village in Tanzania, where they spent several days improving educational facilities for local schoolchildren. This was a truly unique opportunity to help fulfill the Kyäni Caring Hands mission to bring hope to children in need by improving access to nutrition, sanitation, and education.
One project involved helping a school for 1,400 students to become more self-sustaining. There the Partners helped with greenhouses that will provide the students with food, as well as chicken coops. They held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for some of the improvements, with a government dignitary in attendance, and also fed Potato Pak to the children.
In another village identified by the government as being in need, Kyäni Caring Hands has build a home where four teachers can live, solving a challenge that has kept the children from consistent education. During the project the attendees helped finish details for the home including landscaping. They also fed Potato Pak to the local children.
Upon completion of the service project, attendees also had the opportunity to go on safari at Tarangire National Park to see the unique wildlife and sights Africa has to offer.
The trip was a challenging but heartwarming experience for those who attended, giving them a greater understanding of the need to help others through Kyäni Caring Hands.
If you missed this chance to get your hands dirty, there are many other ways to support Caring Hands activities. If you’re attending the Europe Convention in Antalya, come to the Caring Hands Dinner – more info will be soon available; you can also purchase Potato Pak in the online shop.
Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to help us support those who are in need.
